The Bauer Quarterly is no longer being published. The Bauer Quarterly was a ten page magazine devoted to one of the premier U.S. potteries: Bauer Pottery. It was first published Summer 1996 and continued to be published four times a year (January, April, July, October). The final issue of the Bauer Quarterly was published January 2000. Previous BQ Issues Each issue of the BQ included photos (color and black-and-white) as well as helpful and up-to-date information on Bauer pottery. We tried to create a quality publication that captured the exceptional beauty of Bauer while being accessible to a wide variety of Bauer aficionados. Previous BQ issues have featured articles on dinnerware lines, art pottery, floral ware, Bauer animals, how to distinguish Bauer from other potteries, articles by a wide variety of Bauer experts including Jack Chipman and Mitch Tuchman, and interviews with Bauer designers and employees. Ongoing columns included unusual Bauer discoveries, classified and dealer ads, Bauer pottery in the movies, and the not-quite-Martha-Stewart surprise hit, Ask La Linda. Back Issue Fees Back issues are available for $8 each, although some issues are out of stock. A complete set of all sixteen issues is $110 (this includes thirteen original color issues, color copies of out-of-stock issues #1 and #4, and an original black and white printing of the final issue #16).
